Healthy Nutrition

Healthy Nutrition

The healthy nutrition program is offered to all grades in Elementary School and is implemented in collaboration with Harokopio University. The program’s primary goal is to help students develop proper eating habits early on, combined with a hands-on understanding of how these habits contribute not only to their overall health but also to their cognitive development, concentration abilities, academic performance, and a positive body image and self-confidence. With specific objectives tailored to each grade level, the experiential program utilizes the School’s Cooking Lab and Vegetable Garden. It involves systematic cooking activities led by the students themselves with the guidance of chefs. Through these activities, students acquire essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes to make healthy and balanced lifestyle choices, exercise regularly, and prioritize maintaining their health. The School works closely with food service providers at the East Campus (restaurant, cafeterias) to ensure the use of healthy ingredients in cooking. Parents/guardians are similarly encouraged to choose healthy options for treats sent to School on special occasions such as holidays or their children's birthdays.
