Dining Services

East Campus (Spata)

Kindergarten and Elementary School

Lunch is offered to students at a time designated by the weekly schedule of the Kindergarten and Elementary School. The exact meal program is provided by Deipnosofistirion Catering following recommendations and interventions from professors at Harokopio University of Athens and the University of Thessaly. Parents and Guardians are informed about the meal schedule through the monthly newsletter sent by the School Secretariat.

Dining time is integrated into school life in various ways. Through healthy and balanced lunch options and the learning by observation they experience daily, children develop proper nutritional habits, connect their diet to the school’s experiential programs, cultivate self-management skills, and socialize.

In the Elementary School, in addition to the Dining Hall, there are two canteens (one serving Grades 1–3 and another for Grades 4–6) that cater to the children during breaks. The canteen offerings align with the School’s commitment to encouraging students to adopt a positive attitude toward healthy eating.

Gymnasium

Lunch is offered to students at a time designated by the weekly schedule. The meal program is provided by Deipnosofistirion and adheres to the principles of the Mediterranean diet and the recommendations of the National Nutrition Guide, aiming to help students understand the importance of good eating habits for maintaining their health.

In addition to the Dining Hall, a canteen operates to serve students during breaks. The canteen’s products also align with the School’s commitment to promoting healthy eating and physical and mental well-being.

Parents inform the School’s relevant services about food allergies, dietary restrictions, or other reasons limiting their child’s food choices. Students who bring meals from home can also dine in the dining area. In all cases, students using the School’s dining facilities are expected to adhere to the behavior rules described in the Middle and Lyceum Internal Operating Regulations.

Aghia Paraskevi Campus

At the Aghia Paraskevi campus, a dining service by Deipnosofistirion operates to meet the catering needs of Pierce students, teachers, and staff. Meal selections are made by a nutritionist, overseen by the company’s head chef, Dimitris Skarmoutsos, and prepared daily using selected, high-quality ingredients.

Parents of students who dine at the School retain full responsibility for their child’s nutrition, as the company cannot be aware of any religious or medical reasons (allergies, special diets, etc.) that may limit the child’s food choices. Students bringing meals from home can also use the dining facilities. In all cases, students using the School’s dining facilities must follow the behavior rules outlined in the Middle and Lyceum Internal Operating Regulations.
