Student Life: A Typical Day at Pierce Kindergarten

8:00 - 8:30

a typical day in Kindergarten starts between 8:00-8:30, as we welcome our students to the classroom and guide them to explore organized activity corners, either indoors or outdoors.

8:30 - 10:00

after our students share their morning greetings and organize their space, they participate, along with their three teachers, in workshops specifically designed to support the goals and objectives of our curriculum (VEGETABLE GARDEN - COOKING - ARKKI BY AKTO - HOME CINEMA - MAKER SPACE - FAB LAB - CHESS).

10:00 - 10:40

it’s time for our mid-morning snack. The students actively participate in this process by preparing the space, setting the tables, and ensuring everything is ready by the time the activity is complete. Our goal is for them to develop self-reliance and take responsibility not only for themselves but also for their group through this process.

10:40 - 11:20

they have the opportunity to play freely in the kindergarten garden.

11:20 - 13:10

activities are carried out inspired by the class projects or the special educational programs organized by our school (LIBRARY - MUSIC - ART - THEATRICAL PLAY - PSYCHOMOTOR EDUCATION).

13:15 - 14:00

it’s time for lunch and relaxation.

14:00 - 15:30

we continue our structured play in the research and activity centers that our kindergarten curriculum has incorporated for all students (MUSIC, THEATRICAL PLAY, ART - PSYCHOMOTOR EDUCATION - LITERATURE WORKSHOP).
