Academic Programs

Academic Programs

The design and implementation of our educational program are entrusted to our experienced teachers and education consultants. Teaching is planned to adapt to what each of our students knows and is capable of achieving. Subsequently, by analyzing our observations and recordings, we proceed to:

  • Set goals that support the holistic development of our students.
  • Design learning experiences aligned with these goals.
  • Provide support and guidance to our students in a way that allows them to understand and learn what they need (feedback).
  • Gradually reduce support as students build confidence in themselves.
  • Encourage students to apply their new knowledge and skills autonomously and independently.

Learning and Teaching Content in Kindergarten

The learning content, as outlined in the National Curriculum for Kindergarten, is organized into four (4) Thematic Areas:

A. Thematic Area: Child and Communication
B. Thematic Area: Child, Self, and Society
C. Thematic Area: Child and Natural Sciences
D. Thematic Area: Child, Body, Creativity, and Expression

The core of the kindergarten curriculum is the development of students' competencies, which include a combination of knowledge, skills, and values. Our challenge is to observe and document daily the multifaceted characteristics of these competencies, as well as their diverse attributes.

The educational process is structured to support linguistic diversity. Alongside their native language, children are exposed to the English language throughout the day. The learning experiences of each class are jointly organized by the Greek-speaking and English-speaking educators in collaboration with the American fellows. In this way, children learn to think and communicate in both languages.
