Program Description
By participating in the Orchestra, students learn to perform musical pieces from a highly varied repertoire, sometimes even compositions created specifically for the Orchestra. They also learn to improvise and create, while participating in musical events both inside and outside of the school, either solo or in collaboration with the school Choir.

By participating in the orchestra, students:

Program Description

The Greek Theatre Club (ETHOS), in its renewed form for the 2025–2026 school year, continues its creative journey by inviting students who love theatre to take part in a multidimensional and collaborative theatrical experience.

The Club is open to students interested not only in acting but also in all aspects of theatre production (set design, costumes, music, makeup, poster design, photography, reflection, etc.). It aims to be a space that fosters free expression, artistic exploration, and creative collaboration.

Program Description
One of the main goals of this activity is the preservation and promotion of traditional culture through traditional dances. In this context, our students will have the opportunity to learn traditional dances from various regions of the country. Furthermore, as the dances will be performed in groups, our children will have the opportunity to experience collaboration, teamwork, and social interaction.

Program Description
When talking about debate, in the context of debate competitions, we refer to the skill of using spoken language, both in prepared speeches and in situations where spontaneous and impromptu speech is required. Skill in debate, which is cultivated through systematic practice in debate events (expressive reading, spontaneous speech, group discussion, persuasive speech, debate), is essential for developing self-confidence in public speaking, critical thinking, well-reasoned argumentation, and teamwork.

Program Description

In the “Sunny Days” Club, students will have the opportunity to express themselves by taking on the roles of hosts and producers of an entertainment show. This is a highly creative process, as they will conduct research on theater, film, music, poetry, fairy tales, politics, the environment, and current events. They’ll produce a show featuring guests, where students will ask their questions, leading to an interesting, lively discussion. Music will also play a key role in every episode, setting the rhythm and energy!

Program Description
This club aims to introduce students to the world of cinema, both theoretically and practically. During the sessions,  students explore basic concepts such as storytelling, characters, visuals, sound, and editing; they learn about the history of cinema and film genres; and through film analysis, group activities, and hands-on workshops, they develop their own cinematic “voice.” The program culminates in the creation of short films by the students, which are screened at a final “festival-style” screening event.

  2. To expose students to the art of cinema in a lively, contemporary, and meaningful way.

Program Description

The goals of the Art Academy Group are to develop skills, engage in creative experimentation with a variety of  materials and techniques, cultivate aesthetic sensibility and artistic expression, and gain hands-on  knowledge of the most significant artistic movements, participation in in-school and out-of-school art competitions and exhibitions, and the cultivation of team spirit and communication through the art of set design. During the weekly sessions, students will study major artistic movements  up to the early 21st century. Once they understand the concepts and techniques through both theoretical and hands-on learning, they will be able to express themselves through their own creations. 

Goals

  1. Creative expression through painting, small-scale sculpture, mask-making, art using recycled materials, decorative design, jewelry, crafts, and dramatizing works of art are just a few of the activities. 
  2. By the end of the course, participants will be thinking “outside the box,” as the magic of art can transcend the surface of the canvas, penetrate three-dimensional space, and stimulate all the senses. 

Theoretical instruction and practical exercises will be complemented by visits to museums featuring modern art exhibitions and to galleries, outside of school hours, provided, of course, that conditions and the number of participants allow for it.

Program Description
The Photography Club is a modern, experiential, and artistic initiative that uses photography as an educational tool. Through active participation, aesthetic cultivation, and the development of critical and creative thinking, students acquire skills such as creating high-quality, artistic images and visual literacy. The club is taught by a professional in the field and fosters students’ visual literacy, conscious learning, and personal expression. It actively participates in important school activities, with works regularly exhibited on school grounds, creating a fertile ground for artistic and educational development.

Program Description

Students who choose to participate in the Saturday Forensics club will learn to skillfully use spoken English by creatively participating in “speech contests,” while also having the opportunity to compete in the Panhellenic Forensics Tournament, where Pierce students have repeatedly been honored with numerous awards and honorable mentions. 

Students can try out and choose one or more of the following speech events: 

  • Impromptu Speaking: 12:00–12:30 
  • Debate: 12:30–14:30 (7th grade/beginners) & 12:30–16:30 (Second and third years of junior high school, high school, and 12th grade) 
  • Oral Interpretation: 12:00–16:30 (a half-hour session, to be scheduled in consultation with the instructor in charge). 
  • Duet Acting: 12:00–16:00 (a half-hour session, to be scheduled in consultation with the instructor in charge).

Technology - Physical Sciences

Program Description

In this program, students explore the world of the physical sciences and electronics. Through their own measurements, they understand and verify the laws of physics. Through exciting projects, they gain valuable skills and inspiration to further explore science and technology. The tool students use to achieve this is the Python programming language, a beginner-friendly language widely used in the world of robotics. 

Goals

  1. To familiarize students with interactive technologies used in the Internet of Things (IoT), such as microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators, with the aim of creating smart systems that improve our daily lives.  
  2. To understand the operation and capabilities of IoT systems through the analysis of data sets and the use of algebraic methods. 
  3. To understand the operation of simple electrical systems. 
  4. To use sensors and actuators to create automated systems.

Program Description
Pierce – The American College of Greece is the first school in Europe to implement the RACECAR pilot program for the 3rd consecutive year. This program was designed by the Beaver Works Summer Institute of MIT, in collaboration with the non-profit organization "Learning Initiative." The program aims to enhance students' knowledge and skills in the fields of programming, robotics, and technology, combining theory with practice. For participation in this Club, students will be selected based on academic criteria (test), as four spots are available for 1st-year Junior High School students and some prior programming knowledge is required. At the end of the school year, students will have the opportunity to participate in the RACECAR CHALLENGE competition, where the autonomous car that manages to complete a specific course the fastest will advance.

Program Description
The program is designed to provide participants with a basic understanding of entrepreneurship (marketing, management, leadership, human resources management, etc.), as well as the establishment and operation of a student-run virtual business, modeled after a public limited company. As part of the Club, students prepare and submit their own business plan, with the aim of implementing all aspects of a modern business (product design, production, promotion, sales).

  1. Active and engaged participation in the virtual business and the development of important social, managerial, business, and interpersonal skills.
  2. Preparation for effective participation in Greek and international competitions.

Program Description

Pierce – The American College of Greece aims to identify students with exceptional academic abilities, support them, and reward their efforts. In this context, the School has established Academies of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science, which are characterized by scientific curiosity and enthusiasm. 

In the Academies, participating students, with the help of their teachers, explore specialized scientific topics, expand their knowledge, apply more challenging proof-based methods, innovative and cutting-edge teaching methods, and satisfy their scientific curiosity. The Academies have been operating with great success for the seventh consecutive year as part of the School’s Afternoon Program (one day a week, 3:30–5:00 p.m.).

Studies in Hebrew Language and History

Program Description
The Hebrew language and history program, offered as part of Pierce College’s evening courses, was developed in collaboration with the Lauder Foundation and the Jewish Community of Athens. The program’s primary goal is to familiarize participating students with the values of the local Jewish community, Jewish tradition, and Jewish culture. It aims to support the continuation of studies in the Hebrew language and history and is intended for graduates of the Lauder School of the Jewish Community of Athens. 

It advances students’ knowledge in two key areas of education: Jewish history, traditions, and culture, and the Hebrew language. More specifically, students learn about the history of the Jews of Athens and Greece, the various periods of world Jewish history, Jewish holidays, and the Hebrew language, which is the common language used among Jews around the world. They explore fascinating ancient texts, learn about the history of Jewish communities in Greece and abroad, and study the history and culture of Israel. 

The program combines formal and informal educational methods and includes, among other things, educational field trips to various Jewish communities in Greece and abroad. The weekly classes aim to improve and develop students’ language skills, their ability to form and express opinions on ethical issues related to the Jewish religion, to develop their critical thinking, and to collaborate with their peers. Finally, students in the program actively participate in events organized in collaboration with the Jewish Community of Athens.

Program Description

The Gymnastics program is based on the principles of “Gymnastics for All” and offers students a multifaceted athletic and artistic experience. It combines elements of rhythmic gymnastics, artistic gymnastics, dance, acrobatic gymnastics, and cheerleading, emphasizing participation, creativity, teamwork, and the joy of movement.

Through group activities and choreography, students develop motor skills, expressiveness, self-confidence, and team spirit. Cheerleading is creatively integrated into the program, enriching performances with energy, synchronization, and dynamism.

The program’s goal is to create high-quality group performances, as well as to participate in school events, festivals, and “Gymnastics for All” activities, promoting lifelong exercise and a love of movement.

**Sports Activity Discounts

Participation on three days, regardless of the sport – 20% discount

Participation on four days, regardless of the sport – 30% discount

Medical Documentation for Participation in Sports Activities

To participate in Sports Activities, a Medical Certificate is required, to be submitted from the first week of the program. It is important to note that the Health Card (ΑΔΥΜ) submitted for the morning program does not cover participation in these activities.

School Bus Pricing (after the Afternoon Programs)

In the case of full use of the school bus (two trips for the morning program) or use of the school bus only for the return from the morning program to home, an annual surcharge of 150€ will be added to the existing fares, regardless of the number of days participating in the afternoon programs.

In all other cases, the charge for the afternoon bus service is 130€ per day of use annually.

The school buses for afternoon activities will serve main routes.
