Elementary School
Aims and Goals
The design and implementation of the Academic Program of the Elementary School aim to balance fundamental learning practices with modern educational innovations.
Within this framework, the laboratories of Natural Sciences, Music, Visual Arts, Drama, and Information Technology, the Library, the Cinema Room, the Campus athletic facilities, outdoor classrooms, as well as the fully equipped teaching rooms, are utilized in a rational manner. The use of these spaces, along with a variety of technological and non-technological learning tools, is not an end in itself but contributes to creating a suitable environment that meets authentic learning needs, offering experiential and hands-on educational experiences.
Comprehensive linguistic development, the cultivation of natural-mathematical and historical thinking, the study of the natural, human-made, and social environment, artistic, musical, and theatrical education, digital literacy, and physical strengthening/development are the fields through which our children observe, manage, evaluate, and utilize information from diverse sources. They conduct research, develop collaborative relationships, gain autonomy, create, evaluate, experience and express emotions, solve problems, shape character, and build self-confidence. Thus, the School serves as a safe, open window of communication with the modern world, preparing students to live as active citizens.
Finally, the Academic Program does not function independently from the experiential programs. Across all grades, there is a seamless integration of experiential and academic experiences, aiming at teamwork, interdisciplinary approaches, and, above all, a broader perspective on the subjects being taught.
