Pierce UNESCO Club Participates in the 7th World Heritage Youth Symposium

16 May 2026

Students from A Lyceum at Pierce, members of the UNESCO Club, together with their teachers, Mr. Konstantinos Ballos and Ms. G. Stamatakou, participated for the fourth consecutive year in the 7th World Heritage Youth Symposium, reaffirming the school’s strong and consistent presence in high-level international educational initiatives.

As part of the symposium, which brought together schools from 19 countries, our students presented the Heraion of Loutraki, highlighting its historical and cultural significance through a well-researched and creative presentation.

The students also took on the role of guides, presenting the archaeological site to students and educators from abroad and providing a meaningful hands-on experience that fostered intercultural dialogue and the exchange of ideas.

Participation in the symposium contributed significantly to the development of communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills, while also strengthening the school’s international outlook and promoting students’ cultural awareness.
