Members of the Pierce Administration, Directors, and the Office of U.S. College Counseling met with representatives from Odyssey Charter School (Delaware), Archimedean Academy (Florida), Socrates Academy (North Carolina), Hellenic Classical Charter Schools (New York), Plato Academy Schools (Florida), as well as representatives of the American Federation of Teachers.
The meetings focused on exchanging best practices, discussing innovative educational approaches, and exploring opportunities to develop joint educational programs and collaborative initiatives.
These outstanding schools rank among the most successful charter schools in the United States and are distinguished by the systematic integration of the Greek language and Greek culture into their required curriculum. Although only 2% to 5% of their students are of Greek heritage, all students receive mandatory daily instruction in the Greek language through a broad range of courses and educational activities, highlighting the enduring and universal value of Greek education and culture.
For Pierce, developing a strong network of partnerships with leading schools in the United States is a strategic priority. These international collaborations create new opportunities for students and educators, foster the exchange of knowledge and experience, and strengthen the school's global engagement, with a particular focus on the United States, in an increasingly interconnected and evolving international educational landscape.
