For the eleventh consecutive year, the Pierce Lyceum Psychology Club successfully participated in the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports-approved educational program of the association DIAZOMA, entitled "Adopt an Ancient Theatre: Students Guide Students to the Ancient Theatres," by "adopting" the Odeon of Ancient Corinth.

This year's theme was water. On Wednesday, March 18, students from Pierce and the 2nd Gymnasium of Corinth met at the Archaeological Museum of Corinth, where they attended an interactive presentation by Dr. Giota Kasimi, Curator of Antiquities of Corinth, on the fountains of Ancient Corinth and the myths associated with them.

Following research and discussion, the students created and presented a theatrical performance, a dance piece, a presentation on the relationship between technology and water, an original musical composition, and a poetry recitation.

The American School of Classical Studies and the Ephorate of Antiquities of Corinth also organized an innovative guided tour of the fountains of Ancient Corinth for the participating students and university students.

The Pierce students were accompanied by Dr. Nektaria Glinou, School Psychologist and club advisor, philologists Charikleia Lebesi and Maria Lada, as well as Dr. Mairy Belogianni, Philologist, Archaeologist, and Director of Educational Programs at DIAZOMA.

This year's program was designed through the collaboration of DIAZOMA, the Ephorate of Antiquities of Corinth, the American School of Classical Studies in Ancient Corinth, the 2nd Gymnasium of Corinth, and Olympia Odos, which sponsored transportation, video production, and meals for the participants. Students from the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Patras also took part in the program as part of their Public Archaeology course.
