9 October 2026

Constantia Cronje, an IBDP student at Pierce and recipient of the 2026 Harvard Prize Book, visited the Harvard Club of Boston in early October and had a unique experience!

She attended the Prize Book Breakfast, an event held to bring together all this year’s award recipients from around the world.

Constantia attended speeches and presentations by distinguished leaders in their fields and was inspired to set her own goals with the hope of achieving success and creating a positive social impact!

Pierce is the first school in Greece to award the Harvard Prize Book. The award is given to a B Lyceum or IB1 student who has demonstrated outstanding academic performance and character, as well as achievements across various areas of school activities. The recipient's name is nominated by Pierce and approved by Harvard University.

It is worth noting that the President Emeritus of the College, Dr. David G. Horner, was himself a recipient of this award as a high school student in the United States.

Awards such as the Harvard Prize Book and the Smith Book Award, which Pierce is the only school in Greece to present to its students, serve as a dynamic channel of communication with renowned universities abroad.

The Harvard Club of Boston has a rich and remarkable history dating back to its founding in 1908. Over the decades, it has evolved into a gathering place for alumni and members of the Harvard community in the Boston area.

Throughout its history, the Harvard Club of Boston has remained dedicated to strengthening connections among its members and promoting the values of Harvard University.
