The children’s favorite days are those when their loved ones visit our school and, even more so, when they enjoy participating in shared activities, creating a special memory together.
So, during the past week, the parents of the Preschoolers visited the Vegetable Garden and planted together with their children in the edible forest, completing the second round of replanting and significantly contributing to the development and completion of this fruitful project.

An edible forest mimics the seemingly chaotic vegetation of a natural forest, which, in reality, follows specific natural principles.
Thanks to its unique design, it can provide us with fruits, herbs and leaves throughout the year, as each plant produces at a different season. At the same time, it becomes a magnet for insects, birds and small animals such as lizards, frogs, and turtles—fascinating both children and adults, sparking questions, observations, conclusions and offering food for thought and discussion. Finally, its shade offers refreshing moments in spring and autumn.

Creating an edible forest can also be done on a very small scale—even in a large planter with three plants of different sizes—making it a beautiful addition to your garden, balcony, or rooftop and a wonderful activity to enjoy with your children.
