Easter Creations Without Borders: The German Department Brings Traditions to Life

Gymnasium
30 March 2026

As part of the Easter celebrations, the students of our school’s German Department embarked on a creative journey into the world of German-speaking traditions, discovering customs and practices that add a unique color to this festive season.

With enthusiasm and imagination, they engaged in painting Easter eggs, explored the special tradition of Good Friday eggs, and learned about decorating the traditional “Easter tree” (Ostereierbaum). At the same time, they were introduced to Easter sweets and dishes from German-speaking countries, enriching their knowledge not only linguistically but also culturally.

The activity culminated in the creation of their own Easter tree, which they decorated with the colorful eggs they had prepared. The result was truly impressive, adding a joyful and festive touch to our school and filling the space with color, creativity, and Easter spirit.

Through activities like these, students have the opportunity to connect with different cultures, collaborate, and express themselves creatively, making learning a lively and enjoyable experience.
