Commemorating the Polytechnic Anniversary

Kindergarten
14 November 2024

This week, the pre-K and kindergarten students explored the significance of the November 17 anniversary by creating and discussing the story "The Deaf Ant" in their literary workshop. This imaginative tale illustrates the importance of democracy in our lives and teaches, through the adventures of its characters, how we can stand up for our rights both as individuals and as members of a community. The children engaged in discussions about the value of democracy and the defense of human rights, particularly emphasizing children's rights.

The students then collaborated to create a "Wall of Words," filled with values and rights they hold dear, such as love, friendship, family, and education. These words, displayed throughout the school, brought a sense of emotion and connection to our spaces. Following this, the children crafted a symbol of freedom—a dove made of clay.

On the day of the celebration, all students gathered to enjoy a special performance by the class "Trackers of Joy and Knowledge." The event concluded with all the children singing "The Road to Freedom" and other songs, leaving the school filled with unity, inspiration, and the spirit of democracy.
