During a truly creative lesson, the children had the opportunity to explore the world of opera, thanks to the presence of two distinguished guests: Kallirroi Papadopoulou, production coordinator for educational and social programs at the Greek National Opera, and Dimitra Trypani, composer and professor of Composition at the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University.

Through a warm and interactive approach, the children learned about the basic elements that make up an opera: the text and its authors, the music, the theater, the dance, and the stage design. Special emphasis was placed on the orchestra and the musical instruments that participate in a lyrical performance.

Inspired by what they heard and learned, the children created their own paper percussion instruments. Afterwards, with the help of Dimitra Trypani, who played well-known musical excerpts on the piano, they tried to reproduce the sounds of the instruments, actively participating in the musical creation.
It was a unique experience that filled the space with music, imagination, and joy!
