The participation of the Grade 9 students of the Pierce Mathematics Academy in the 5th Kastellorizo Puzzle Festival was completed with great success, offering a unique blend of knowledge, science, and creative thinking.
Our students had the opportunity to enjoy a truly memorable educational experience on the beautiful and remote island of Kastellorizo, engaging in a variety of hands-on and scientific activities. During the festival, they attended experiments, lectures, and interactive sessions on physics, mathematics, and logic, learned about dinosaurs and the Antikythera Mechanism, explored the process of alcohol distillation and the mysteries of the human brain, designed constellations and took part in stargazing sessions under the island’s spectacular night sky and enjoyed hiking and watching the sunrise over the breathtaking landscape of Kastellorizo.
This experience proved to be an invaluable journey of learning and collaboration, strengthening the students’ passion for science while nurturing their curiosity, creativity, and spirit of exploration.
