At Pierce we celebrated Respect Day 2025, a day dedicated to the value that underpins every healthy community: respect. Through the inspired speech of our School Psychologist and the students’ creative activities, the classrooms and school courtyards were filled with colors, reflections, and words of respect. Our students each expressed in their own way what respect means to them, and each class created its own “Code of Respect,” a five-point pledge, to remind everyone daily of the power of empathy, understanding, and kindness.

At the end of the day, all of us—students and teachers alike—formed human “humanitarian” circles in the middle school courtyard, circles of humanity, unity, and acceptance.
Respect is not just a value—it is a way of life and our guiding compass.
