Reading promotion activities with Red Fox

Kindergarten
18 February 2026

As part of the reading promotion program implemented in our Kindergarten, and in collaboration with the Red Fox team, the children took part in a unique and creative activity. Acting as young researchers–journalists, they set out to discover the favorite book of the “characters” they had drawn.
The process turned out to be fantastic and highly unpredictable. The children explored what a little animal, a mythical creature, or even… a volcano might enjoy reading! With spontaneity and creative thinking, they invented stories, made assumptions, and let their imagination travel far beyond typical reading roles.

Their answers were recorded as part of their small “research project” and offered valuable opportunities for discussion, storytelling, and play. Through this unusual “treasure hunt,” the children had the chance—together with their teachers and guided by their own interests—to discover the many forms of reading and the joys of exploration. The activity concluded with great enthusiasm, confirming that reading can become an exciting adventure when it combines exploration, imagination, and collaboration.
