As part of the beekeeping program, our students carried out their first inspection of the School’s hives.

They entered the apiary, following all necessary instructions, learned how to position themselves correctly around the hive, and closely observed the bees moving, the foragers flying out and returning, as well as their work on the frames, while listening to the characteristic buzzing of their wings.

The purpose of this first inspection was for the children to overcome their initial fears, to approach this magical creature, to activate all their senses, and to practice their fine motor skills.

At the same time, they cultivated respect towards insects and became familiar with the basic stages of the inspection process, experiencing something that very few children of their age have the opportunity to enjoy.
