The Kindergarten Library had the pleasure of participating in the international program for the promotion of reading, Read For Real, which is implemented by the Hellenic Foundation for Books and Culture (ELIVIP), the national hub and platform of the program in Greece. Within the framework of the program, cross-border author tours take place, bringing writers and readers together in 43 countries of the Creative Europe program.

For 2025, ELIVIP took part in one of the program’s initiatives, the European Author’s Day, on December 8 and 9.

As part of this initiative, our School was visited by Anete Melece, an author and illustrator from Latvia, who, with the support of author Evi Gerokosta, the program’s coordinator in Greece, met the Story Seekers and the Hungry Observers with her book Who Stole Stella’s Sleep. The young pupils became detectives and searched for the culprit in… dreams!
