What are three enduring values Pierce has taught you?

Non ministrari sed ministrare, greeting me from above the Theater doors day in day out took a strong hold in me. Fairness and kindness go well together. Doing your best is most fulfilling.

Outstanding; open-minded; humanistic.

Which is your fondest memory from your time at Pierce?

The relaxed intimate chats with peers in the few minutes just before or after the bell. But overall
Pierce felt like a second home as my mother Dina Sinani-Polymenea worked with the school as head of the Administrative Office.

What do you miss most from your days at Pierce?

That beehive ambience. We were all growing together, learning in a place safe, civilized and so beautiful.

If you could go back in time, is there anything that you would do differently?

I would be more extrovert, less stressed, blending more fun into the mix.

Where was your favorite spot on campus?

The sunny patios and the gym.

Who was your favorite teacher and why?

A smile comes to my face as I remember each one, their personalities and style. But I have to say Rena Psaltidou instilled in me the perseverance to excel in my studies, and it is thanks to Stavros Tzoulakis that it dawned to me that “a problem cannot be half-solved” .

After graduation, have you maintained a relationship with your school and classmates?

We kept touch through social media as I was abroad, and recently rekindled connections with the wonderful opportunity of the 2019 Alumni Reunion.

Looking back, how did your time at Pierce help you become the person you are today?

Critical thinking, self-confidence and teamwork proved essential in my life and Pierce fosters them all.

What advice would you give a new Pierce student?

Allow yourself to learn about the history of the School, its legacy, what brings to our society. Feel that you are a part of it, leave your mark and stay connected. It is so much more than a chapter in our life.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

From everyone who strives to evolve and is there when needed.
