CATHY PARTHEMOS-PARASCHI was born to Greek parents in Asheville, North Carolina, USA. She graduated from PIERCE – The American College of Greece (1973) and received her Diploma in Architecture from NTUA (National Technical University of Athens) in1980. From 1997 to 2007, she voluntarily offered her professional services as an architect at the Parthenon Restoration Project.
During 2007-2008, she was appointed by the Ministry of Culture of Greece, as chief coordinator for the Restoration Project of the Archaeological site of Ancient Olympia due to the wildfires.
She is continually working in the field of communication, towards the international projection of Ancient Greek civilization, and participated in many exhibitions (Benaki Museum, Pergamon Museum, etc.). She also participated in the production of media documentaries for BBC, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, History Channel, etc. while in 2009-2010 she was the pre-production manager of the cultural radio series for SKAI radio station.
As of 2009, she is Member of the Board of Directors of the new Acropolis Museum.
