Evangelia Niadas

BA in English Language and Literature, National Kapodistrian University of Athens; MA in the Theory and Practice of Literary Translation, University of Essex, United Kingdom; MA in Humanities and Social Studies, New York University, USA  

Ms Niadas is interested in literature, language acquisition and an interdisciplinary approach to social issues. As a lifelong language learner herself, she is able to help her students with difficulties arising in the process of language acquisition. During her studies in the US, she focused on social issues; the program adopted an interdisciplinary approach which has proved compatible with the philosophy of the IB Diploma program.

Ms Evangelia Niadas has been a member of the PIERCE faculty since 2014. She has been teaching English Language and Literature in Gymnasium, English Language, Literature and Research Skills in Lyceum and  English as a Second Language in the IB program.

Her research interests include Nationalism in Europe in the 19th century, and literary translation.

She serves as Advisor to the Gymnasium Sunny Days

She serves as English B Group Representative of the Pierce IB Diploma Program.
