Youth Entrepreneurship Competition Diamond Challenge 2024

Pierce – The American College of Greece, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, organizes for the 6th year, the second phase (Greek final – Pitch Event) of the Youth Entrepreneurship Competition “Diamond Challenge”, at the Pierce Theatre, on Saturday, February 17, 2024.

The competition is addressed to high school students from public and private schools all over the country and has been held since 2012 in 35 countries, under the auspices of the Horn School of Entrepreneurship of the University of Delaware, https://diamondchallenge.org/. The purpose of the competition is to give high school students the opportunity to work in teams, gain knowledge through hands-on learning, cultivate personal skills, live an entrepreneurial experience, solve problems, use technology to leverage their ideas, and create, regardless of their future careers.

The theme of this year’s competition for Greece is “Social Innovation”. Each idea submitted must contribute to solving a social problem and make a positive contribution to citizens, society and the environment. The deadline for submitting entries to the competition is Tuesday January 16, 2024. Submitted proposals will then be evaluated by Diamond Challenge judges in order to select the teams that will advance to the second phase. In the link below, you can also view the Announcement for this year’s Competition.

The winning team from Greece will represent our country in the international final (phase C), which will be held under the auspices of the University of Delaware, from April 25 to 27, 2024 in the United States of America!
