Weekly Parent – Teacher meetings (new)

Effective communication between Parents and Teachers is an educational priority for Pierce – The American College of Greece and contributes significantly to our students’ academic progress and overall development as well as to the prevention and timely dealing with factors that affect attendance and to school life.

In this context, there are scheduled meetings between teachers and Parents and Guardians which, for the 2018-19 academic year, will be as follows:

Α. Report cards and interim afternoon updates:
Interim Update: Tuesday, November 13, 2018 (4:30 – 6:30 p.m.)
First Term Report Cards: Wednesday, February 6, 2019 (2:30 – 6:30 p.m.)

Lyceum and IB:
Interim Update: Tuesday, November 6, 2018 (4:30 – 6:30 p.m.)
First Term Report Cards: Tuesday, February 12, 2019 (2:30 – 6:30 p.m.)

B. Weekly Parent-Teacher meetings:
Weekly meetings began on Monday, October 15 and take place every Monday and Thursday, according to this program for Gymnasium/ Lyceum and IB (new program from October 29).

We would like the Parents of our new students to know that, when you arrive on campus, you will have to write your name on the lists of the teachers you are interested in seeing. These lists will be posted in the areas where the teachers see parents.

It is to be expected that, on the first days of the school year, there will be increased interest on the part of parents to see their children’s teachers and to learn about their progress. For this reason, for the period between October 15 and November 29, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography) Technology and Computer Science teachers, who will probably not be able to see all the Parents in one hour, since they teach many classes, will see any parents they did not manage to see during their scheduled hour for an additional hour during the lunch break (1:35 – 2:05 p.m.).

If you need to contact a Teacher, please, call the Secretariat of the School (tel. 210 600 9800, 1175 for Gymnasium, 1162 for Lyceum and 1060 for the IB). In these extraordinary cases, the Instructor will be informed by the Secretariat and will contact you.
