Pierce, the 1st Greek School in the program X-Culture: 3 students at the conference in Thailand!

Pierce – The American College of Greece students, from the academic year 2023-24, take part in the educational entrepreneurship program X-Culture Academy, as Pierce is the first school in Greece to participate in this program!

As the result of their outstanding performance, three students, Maria-Valeria Papanikolaou (C’ Gymnasium), Mikaela Manouilidi (A’ Lyceum), and Miltiadis Lidorikis (A’ Lyceum) were chosen to participate in X-Culture Global Business Week Conference 2024 that is organized by the School of Management, Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai and will be held in Tailand July 7th-14th.

This is a unique opportunity for our three students to take part in an international business conference, collaborate with high school and university students from all over the world, find solutions to real business problems, and make presentations. There will only be 150 participants in the Conference, both university and high school students with the best performance, out of the approximately 10.000 that are taking part in the program!

As of the 2023–24 academic year, X-Culture Academy joined the Pierce Afternoon Clubs program, as part of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Powered by taught by Dr. Antonis Kleidas, Associate Professor, Department Head, Management and International Business School of Business and Economics at Deree. The program aims to help our participating students develop the skills needed to succeed professionally in an internationalized and multicultural business environment.

X-Culture is an international university partnership that aims to prepare young people for a global business environment. Teams of students from around the world develop a solution to an international business problem, commissioned by a real company. Since the program’s launch in 2010 for secondary school students from 2018, more than 100,000 students (about the seating capacity of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum), from more than 700 universities around the world, have participated in the global competition and developed skills in working with people from diverse cultures.
