Dr. Spyridon Doukakis, head of the Computer Science & Technology, Economics & Social Sciences Department, Pierce Math and Computer Science Teacher, took part as Organizer and Co‐Chair of the Special Track on Information Technologies Essentials in Education at the International Conference “4th South-East Europe Design Automation, Computer Engineering, Computer Networks and Social Media (SEEDA-CECNSM 2019),” which took place September 20, 21 and 22, 2019 at the University of Piraeus. In addition, Dr. Doukakis collaborated on two presentations at the conference on the subjects: “Scaffolding Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) in Computer Science Education through Learning Activity Creation” and “Designing an e-mentoring program for supporting teacher training.”
Ms. Panagiota Kehagioglou, Pierce Theology Teacher, took part and presented “The Commandments through the Prism of Literature” at the 3rd Panhellenic Scientific Conference of Theology Educators, whose theme was “Religious Education – Education for the Future.” The conference had participants from around the world and took place September 27, 28 and 29, 2019 at the School of Theology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Mr. Panagiotis Sfyris, Pierce Economics teacher, presented “Narrating Meanings and Theories: Unemployment and Theory of Value” at the workshop entitled “Good practices in teaching Economics (Principles of Economic Theory) with emphasis on Macroeconomic Theory,” which took place on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the Economics Department of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and was organized by the Regional Department for Athens & Eastern Attica of the Association of Secondary School Economics Teachers and the Economics Department of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens.
