Pierce students reach the top at Greek Debate Tournament!

The Pierce Greek Rhetorical Club received many distinctions at the 6th Public Speaking Tournament, which was organized online by Anatolia College in Thessaloniki, on Saturday and Sunday, March 20-21, 2021.

Η Maria Polychronopoulou was named best speaker in the competition, and Faidon Vomvylas achieved 1st place in the Lyceum Persuasive Speaking competition. In the same competition, Nikolas Tselepis received Honorable Mention. Elina Lilikaki was named 2nd best speaker in the competition and Angelos Avakian was 4th best speaker. Natalia Nikolakopoulou, Alexandros Kollias and Angelos Kotsikas were among the 10 best speakers in the competition.

The Lyceum team that was made up of students Natalia Nikolakopoulou, Elina Lilikaki and Maria Polychronopoulou, qualified to the semi-final round of the Debate competition. The Gymnasium team, which consisted of Angelos Kotsikas, Panagiotis Koufoudakis and Christina Polydoropoulou, also qualified to the semi-final round in Gymnasium Debate.
