Pierce students at 10th Student Digital Creation Festival

Fourteen Pierce students took part in the 10th Student Digital Creation Festival, which took place online April 13-18, 2021 with 9 works. The students worked either individually or in groups and always with the guidance of 5 of our school’s teachers who coordinated the participants in the creation of their digital projects.

More specifically:

  1. A Gymnasium student Thalis Katsimichas developed a digital game in the Scratch programming language and presented his project entitled: Dodge the laser with the support of Ms. Alexandra Psaltidou, computer science teacher.
  2. A Gymnasium student Ioannis Athanasiadis developed a digital game in the Scratch programming language and presented his project entitled: Brain Maniacs: Use Your Brain! With the support of Ms. Alexandra Psaltidou, computer science teacher. The project participated in the competition “Brains & Games Greece,” as part of the Festival.
  3. A Gymnasium student Byron Perakis developed a digital game Non Existent Game: The Game! In the Scratch programming language. The project participated in the competition “Brains & Games Greece,” as part of the Festival.
  4. A Gymnasium students Hara Sotiria Glyka, Konstantinos Kyriakidis, Alexandros Kostaras and Philip Pantelis developed a program in the Scratch programming language and presented their project entitled: Covid Man with the support of Ms. Alexandra Psaltidou, computer science teacher.
  5. C Gymnasium student Alexandros Palaiodimos-Haralambidis constructed and presented his own website on the subject Bill Gates, with the support of Ms. Ioanna Pylioti, computer science teacher.
  6. C Gymnasium students Ioannis Rovatsos and Nikias Defteraios constructed and presented their own website on the subject Central PC Unit, with the support of Ms. Ioanna Pylioti, computer science teacher.
  7. C Gymnasium students Elias Georgiou and Konstantinos Christakos constructed and presented their own website on the subject Elon Musk, with the support of Ms. Ioanna Pylioti, computer science teacher.
  8. C Gymnasium student Dimitrios Trachanis created and presented a video on the subject: Fake Reality, with the support of Mr. Ioannis Skliris, computer science teacher, and Ms. Theodora Panagopoulou, music teacher.
  9. B Lyceum student Dimitrios Katsanos created a digital musical work entitled: Remedy4ALostSummer and presented it with the support of Ms. Alexandra Psaltidou, computer science teacher, Ms. Theodora Panagopoulou and Mr. Orestis Chatzinakis, music teachers.

Some of the students’ project were developed as part of the clubs, during the school program, while others as part of Music and Computer Science classes.
