For one additional year, the students of Pierce – The American College of Greece came one step closer to their admission to the country’s top educational institutions. With their efforts, dedication and self-discipline, they upheld the tradition that the School has always been distinguished in the Panhellenic examinations.
30% of our students achieved an Average Grade Point Average of Excellent (above 18), that is three times higher than the corresponding national average (10.7%), thus ensuring their admission to high ranking universities!
More specifically, Pierce students earned outstanding scores:
- Maths: our students’ excellence rate was 7 times higher than the national rate. Specifically, in Mathematics of Economics & Computer Science, 10.2% of Pierce students excelled while the corresponding national rate was 1.2%.
- Physics: our students’ excellence rate was 4 times higher than the national rate.
- Computer Science, Chemistry and History: our students’ excellence rate was 3 times higher than the national rate.
These outstanding results confirm Pierce’s educational leadership: students worked methodically, Parents supported the students’ efforts, and Teachers methodically and comprehensively prepared them for these exams and including how to manage their test anxiety.
Excellence and distinction are always the reward for every effort and make us all, Teachers and the School Administration alike, proud of our students’ successes!
We wish all our children a successful and dynamic new beginning this academic year and every success in their future career!
