On Tuesday, December 22, B Lyceum students had the opportunity to attend a talk by Dr. Vasileios Papastamopoulos, Doctor of Internal Medicine – Infectious Diseases, on the subject “Vaccinations and Covid-19.”
Dr. Papastamopoulos is the medical director of the Infectious Diseases Unit, Coordinator of Covid-19 pandemic management at Evangelismos Hospital, and the father of two boys studying at Pierce.
The main topic of the talk was the spread of the virus and the effects of the pandemic on the global community over the last year. Special mention was made of prevention measures, the technology of new vaccines and their contribution to fighting the pandemic.
Our students had the unique opportunity to be informed by the most qualified source, to ask questions and to understand the seriousness of our current situation.
