Mitsakos received an invitation to participate in the ITF Australian Open Junior Championships!

Huge success for the Deree Tennis Academy and Theodoris Mitsakos, who became just the fourth Greek U18 tennis player to receive an invitation to participate in the ITF Australian Open Junior Championships to be held January 22-29, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia!

Theodoris – a student at Pierce with an athletic scholarship in tennis – received this very honorable invitation for him and the program, after his excellent performances during the last several years. Theodoris will also participate in the ITF J1 TRARALGON – AGL Loy Yang Traralgon Junior International that will take place January 14-19, in Traralgon, Victoria, Australia.

These prestigious, world-class tennis tournaments are in the context of the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors, which gives players aged 18 and under the opportunity to travel the world and develop their talent. The ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors provides a launch pad for the best players to go on and achieve success in the professional game.

Theodoris will depart from Greece on Sunday, January 9, together with the head coach of the Deree Tennis Academy, George Karagiannis, after they complete all necessary paperwork and Covid-related medical protocol.

A few weeks earlier, Deree Tennis Academy won the 1st place in the “Men’s Tennis B’ National Category Championship”, held in Rafina on December 17-20 and was promoted to the A’ National Category, by achieving 4 victories in a row!
