Minas Efraimoglou of Pierce at the World Educational Robotics Olympiad

Minas Efraimoglou, an A Lyceum Pierce student, won, with the Jofre team, the 1st place in the WRO-Hellas Qualification Competition and, together, the ticket for the 2nd consecutive year, to represent our country in the World Olympiad of Educational Robotics for high school students 2023, which will be hosted in Panama, from 7 to 9 November 2023. In the World Robotics Olympiad 2023, which is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and other government agencies of Panama, a total of 400 teams from 85 countries will participate.

The Greek delegation was selected by the National Competition organized by the WRO Hellas, the WRO Educational Robotics, Science and Technology Organization, from July 1 to 2, 2023. In the qualifying competitions, the projects that stood out were those of 7 teams from 5 regions of the Greek territory, including the project of Minas from Pierce and Ioannis Triantafyllis (2nd Lyceum of Ag. Paraskevi) in the RoboMission Senior competition category. The theme of the competition this year is “Connecting the world”.

In November 2022, Minas, with the Jofre team, participated in the World Educational Robotics Olympiad in Dortmund, Germany, winning the 9th place among 78 teams from all over the world.
