Congratulations graduates of the first year of Pierce IB Diploma Programme!

We are delighted to congratulate the graduating class of  International Baccalaureate DP 2018 (the first of Pierce – The American College of Greece), on a truly excellent set of results. These achievements will allow our graduating students to progress in their education and to attend some of the best Universities across the world.

Many thanks to students, parents and faculty, for all that they have contributed to this success!

On Monday, July 23rd, the academic achievement awards were presented to the seniors of IB DP who achieved the highest grades: Dimitrios Fanouriadis was named Valedictorian (grade 41)Alkistis – Panagiota Mavrogalou – Foti and Charalampos Vossos were named Salutatorians (grade 40).

Technical Note: The IBO release the Diploma Examinations results in July, each year, but the formal annual statistics are not published until after re-marks and other adjustments have been completed. In this summary, we have compared our results for the May 2018 examination, with the most recent official statistics from May 2017 results.

  • Pierce candidates who successfully passed the diploma: 95% (World: 78%)
  • Average Points obtained by Pierce candidates: 35 (World: 30)
  • Highest diploma points awarded to a Pierce candidate: 41
  • Pierce candidates with points ≥36: 40% (World: 28%)
  • Pierce candidates with points ≥40: 15% (World: 10%)
