For the first time two Pierce students to serve as Committee Chairs at THIMUN in the Hague

Two IB1 students of Pierce – The American College of Greece, Anastasios Lambrianos – Stappas and Theodore Iakovou, were selected to chair committees at THIMUN, which takes place in the Hague, January 26-31, 2020.

For the first time, Pierce students have been selected from among hundreds of students from schools all around the world to serve as Chairs at the largest and most prestigious MUN conference in the world! Theodore will be chairing the Economic and Social Committee and Anastasios the Environmental Commission. They will presiding over committees of 100-200 participants, collaborating with their peers from all over the world, with the aim of resolving world issues.

This is the third time that Pierce students have taken part in this conference and this year’s delegation consists of 18 students and 3 accompanying teachers.
