Distinctions for Pierce students in the National Final of Young Business Talents

Two teams of Pierce students took part in the National Final of the Young Business Talents Competition 2022-23, which took place on Friday, April 31st, at the Cultural Centre “Hellenic Cosmos” of the Foundation of the Hellenic World, sponsored by the Bodossaki Foundation, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs.

The A Lyceum students of the 1st team, Dimosthenis Galanis, Konstantinos Makantasis and Konstantinos Papadimas, took the 6th place in the final ranking, based on the criterion of profitability. The 2nd team was made up of C Lyceum students Georgios Antonopoulos, Angelos Karolidis and Kimon Papiotis. Both teams excelled in their Clubs and received awards.

The 76 best teams – companies with 263 high school students, from both public and private schools from all over Greece participated in the Final. The competition started in November 2022 with 506 virtual companies from all regions of Greece, staffed by 1,715 students. For 11 weeks, which correspond to 11 financial years, up to the semi-final, the teams made important business decisions, such as volume production, price of products, placement of products at points of sale, size and type of advertising, number and remuneration of staff, etc.
