“Come together to build a house”: A9 Lyceum students in collaboration with “The Ergastiri”

The students of the A9 Lyceum class, in cooperation with the Center for Services to People with Disabilities “The Ergastiri – Lillian Voudouri“, implemented the project “Come together to build a house”.

The project involves the delivery of a piggy bank and products (various soap designs, ceramics of different colours and designs) to our School for sale, with the aim of building new houses for supported living.

Following the distribution of all the products to the members of the school community, the students of Class A9, visited the premises of the Centre, together with their counsellor, Mrs.Aikaterini Falouka, to hand over the piggy bank with the money. During their visit, the students were informed about the Center’s programs, which aim to enhance the work and social skills of people with intellectual disabilities and facilitate their social integration. Our students interacted with the beneficiaries and participated in experiential activities.

The visit was a unique experience of raising awareness on inclusion and acceptance.
