Blood Drive (December 1 – 3)

The American College of Greece supports the efforts of the National Public Health Organization (NPHO) to replenish the blood banks at Evangelismos, Agios Savvas and G. Gennimatas Hospitals, for patients in need, as the nation deals with the second wave of the pandemic. The entire College community (students, staff, faculty, alumni and parents), associates and friends, embraced this noble cause and did their part in this social act of solidarity.

The blood drive took place on Tuesday, December 1, Wednesday, December 2 and Thursday, December 3 in the Deree Student Lounge, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., under the auspices of the ACG Institute of Public Health, in cooperation with the ACG Health and Wellness Center.

Preventive measures, according to NPHO guidelines, were taken to protect the health and safety of donors.

Donors could find further information on the procedure, ensure that they fulfill the requirements and schedule their appointment through Eventora. Blood donations took place in the spacious Deree Student Lounge, while the Deree Main Corridor served as a waiting area, to avoid crowding. Masks and antiseptic hand sanitizer were available for donors, who could also use the College parking area.
