Ancient Greek Language and Literature Competition

Pierce – The American College of Greece announces the 7th Student Competition in Ancient Greek Language and Literature, under the auspices of the Directorate of Secondary Education of Athens and the School of Philosophy (Department of Philology) of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.

The competition is addressed to students of the A Lyceum of the General High Schools, both public and private, of the Region of Attica. Participation in the competition is optional and requires the consent of the Parents – Guardians. There is no financial charge for the participating students.

The date of the Competition is Saturday, March 30, 2024, 10:00 – 12:00, and the testing center is Pierce – The American College of Greece (6 Gravias St., Agia Paraskevi). On the day of the Competition students must arrive at the premises of the American College of Greece by 09:30, with their ID card and 2 black or blue pens.

The three (3) students with the highest scores will be awarded with books at a special event to be held at Pierce – The American College of Greece. The ten (10) students with the next highest scores in the ranking will receive an Honorable Mention. All participating students will receive a Participation Award.
