International Education Programs

Pierce, the only school in Greece authorized to award Prizes from Harvard University and Smith College to its students, once again paves the way to innovation and puts into practice its philosophy on the overall cultivation of life skills for its students through participation in a variety of educational activities abroad.

Educational trips abroad provide our students with unique experiences and opportunities to develop initiative, to demonstrate the independence of spirit and self-confidence that are cultivated at the College, to work outside the classroom and to acquire incentives for action in a new, competitive, international educational environment. They explore cultural differences and become familiar with different life conditions, all of which are absolutely essential for the next generation of citizens and future leaders.

Participants negotiate and present their positions, take part in artistic events, debate and rebut arguments, improve their presentation and decision-making skills, create culture in an atmosphere of respect and trust.

It is truly a great educational challenge in a contemporary world, an inspiration for thought and action, an opportunity for interaction, a fresh and special look at future prospects for tomorrow’s citizens of our world.

The highlight of this effort was Pierce being given the International School Award for the 2015 – 18 academic years. This is an award that is given by the British Council to the school which:
a) connects with other schools in Europe based on its academic programs and
b) improves its teaching methods through this collaboration.

The final assessment committee was made up of: the President of the British Council in Greece, a representative of the Ministry of Education as well as a representative of the company Microsoft Partners in Learning.
