What are the steps to admission into Pierce? How can you apply for a scholarship? All of your questions regarding Pierce are answered here.

What is the admissions process for Pierce?

Candidates for Α’ Gymnasium are examined in English in a written test in order to be admitted to the school. You can find further information on the examination syllabus and past exam papers here.

If there are positions available, students may be admitted into B’ and C’ Gymnasium and A’, B’ and C’ Lyceum based on their academic performance and their conduct as well as the result of an English test for each respective grade.

How do I apply to take part in the entrance examinations?

You can complete the electronic Admissions Application here.

To complete the process for your child’s participation in the written examinations, please deposit €40 through the National Bank of Greece.

In the “REASON FOR TRANSACTION” area, please give the first and last name of the candidate as well as the father’s name.

What are the opportunities for scholarships?

There are four types of scholarships at Pierce:

1. Academic Scholarships: apply to candidates for A’ Gymnasium & A’ Lyceum and are awarded based on the students’ scores on a Greek Language test and a Mathematics test. Further information on the exam syllabus and past test papers can be found here.

2. Athletics Scholarships: apply to Gymnasium – Lyceum students that excel in basketball, track and field, tennis and swimming. Further information on athletics scholarships can be found  here.

You can express your interest in athletics scholarships by completing the Athletic Scholarship Application.

3. Music scholarships: apply to Gymnasium – Lyceum students. Further information can be found here.

4. Other scholarships and financial assistance programs: apply to Gymnasium – Lyceum students and are awarded based on income and other criteria. Further information on specific scholarships can be found here.

When to entrance examinations take place and when are the results announced?

Entrance examinations usually take place in April or May. For the 2019 – 20 school year, the entrance examinations took place according to the following program:

Entrance examinations for Α’ Gymnasium
Sunday, May 12 2019, 10:00 – 11:30

Examinations for academic scholarships (Α’ Gymnasium)
Sunday, May 12 2019, 12:00 – 13:00

Entrance examinations for B’, C’ Gymnasium and A’, B’, C’ Lyceum
Saturday, May 11 2019, 10:00 – 11:00

Examinations for academic scholarships (A’ Lyceum)
Saturday, May 11 2019, 11:30 – 13:30

Results are announced within 10 days of the examination date.
