Thomas Giourgas has been a member of the Pierce faculty since 2019, teaching Theory of Knowledge. In 2008 he was awarded a Teaching scholarship (University of Edinburgh) where he taught a wide range of Philosophy courses. From 2018 he is appointed as Philosophy Instructor at Deree, the American College of Greece. His main teaching and research interests are in the areas of Ethics, Ancient Greek Philosophy, Moral Psychology, and Philosophy of Education. He is also a post-doctoral researcher for the project “House of Classical Greek Ideas”, at NCSR “Demokritos”.
